BRAND CREATION
Conceived by renowned angler Dave Harrell, the brand starts out producing rods, accessories and luggage.
These were sold primarily through Foster's of Birmingham, but retailers around the UK would soon start to realise the potential of the brand.
LEEDA BUYS MAP
As it grows, Leeda looks to move away from solely being a distributor so it purchases MAP to position it as its main match-focussed brand.
TKS MAKES ITS DEBUT
Pioneering compatibility, TKS launched to great fanfare as the first pole range that utilised shared mandrels and a range of universal top kits.
The Move To Madison
MAP joins the Madison family, the UK's largest cycle and parts distributor, and part of the H. Young group, which owns Leeda.
The move harnesses the power of Madison's state-of-the art warehouse and office facilities to ensure improved productivity and logistics.
The First carbon seatbox
Hot on the heels of our first range of seatboxes, we worked with industry specialists from the cycle manufacturing sector to create the Z-36 Carbon.
A 'proof of concept', this stunning carbon-framed seatbox sold out quickly and is still sought after to this day!
The World's thinnest pole
The TKS 1001 launches and sporting a butt diameter of just 42mm, is the thinnest 16-metre pole on the market.
